2008 UPDATE
It’s that time of year Football season has started and I wanted
to bring everyone up to speed on what the Tates Creek Football Boosters
will be doing. Remember this is your
Booster Club and with out your help our football team cannot have some of
the thing they enjoy and need.
Last year we did a good job due to your involvement. THANK YOU FOR
ALL YOUR HELP! . The first fundraiser that we did was a good success. We
will be doing another “discount card with-in the next couple of weeks so
lets try to make it a success.
A huge profit center is the selling of advertising for our program.
Last year we did a pretty good job with this. Our income was up almost
1200.00 dollars from the previous year.900.00 dollars of that increase was
due to the effort of ONE PARENT! This is a very easy way to raise money
and the business you contact get advertising in return. There are some
schools that make 8000 to 10,000 in advertising sales. This would take a
great load off the selling of other items such as cookie dough, Christmas
wreaths, car washes, bingo, etc.
The ad contract is on the web page print it off as soon as
possible. Please try and make this a huge priority. If we have 50 players
and all sell at least 100.00
dollars in ads we make 5000.00 before printing cost.
An other profit center is our annual golf tournament .If we can get
a sponsor for every hole at 100.00 a hole that’s 1800.00.John Conlin
will be heading this up and needs some help and would be wise for a
underclassman parent to get involved with this ……John will be gone
this year and this is a great event. I would hate to see it die after all
his hard work .Someone step up so the Tates Creek Football Team will
continue this fun fundraiser.
There is a possibility that we will have another car to raffle or
auction off also. So if you son is getting ready to drive you might want
to get involved in this one.
OK THE QUESTION WHERE DOES ALL THE MONEY GO. Pre game and post game
meals, shorts and shirts (what we ask you to pay does not cover the
expense), freshman bags, coaches gifts, end of year banquet, better busses
for the long away games, extra coaches salary, pot luck dinner,
Boonesboro,
food for passing camp, and food to feed the football teams after the 2
scrimmages. These are just a few of your Booster club expenses. As you can
see your help is needed to make this program enjoyable for our football players.

(30.00) at the Pot Luck Dinner.
